NEW YORK– June 8, 2016 – Cleareon Fiber Networks, a New York City-based provider of dark fiber networks and services, announces that its Co-CEO, Cliff Kane, will join the Telecom Exchange (TEX) NYC CEO Roundtable, “Fiber and the City: Analyzing the Need for New Metro Dark Fiber Builds In and Around NYC,” taking place June 22 from 1:20 pm to 2:05 pm. Telecom Exchange, held June 21-22 at Cipriani Wall Street, is the premier industry networking event where communications and technology meet.
As Co-CEO of Cleareon, Mr. Kane brings dark fiber expertise and more than 30 years of telecom industry experience to the TEX fiber-focused CEO roundtable. Mr. Kane joins the roundtable with other NYC metro area dark fiber players, including Vincenzo Clemente, President & CEO for Cross River Fiber; Adrian Shatku, CEO for Unifi Communications; and Ray LaChance, President & CEO for ZenFi Networks. The roundtable is moderated by Richard Lukaj, Senior Managing Director for Bank Street. Mr. Kane and fellow panelists will discuss burgeoning fiber routes throughout the NYC metro area, and assess the need to justify the new projects. The panel will also focus on drivers and benefits for these new networks, the challenges within the competitive marketplace and the new opportunities on the horizon.
“I’m very much looking forward to Telecom Exchange and what will be a most engaging panel discussion among some of the top experts on fiber networks in the NYC metro area,” comments Kane. “The opportunities are here – demand for dark fiber is growing – and we have positioned Cleareon to capture these new opportunities as the player that brings transparency to an otherwise opaque market."
